  • From Development Application to Occupancy

    Once your DA is approved, there are many decisions to be made before your builder hands you the keys. The success of the result from this point on rests with your understanding of the contract sum estimation process, the contract, and the performance of the construction.

    Understanding both you and your builders’ responsibilities under a contract is crucial to minimising the risk of problems occurring during construction. Your builder should take the time to discuss the contract and conditions with you and allow you reasonable time to read through the contract on your own. A minimum five-day cooling off period generally applies to all residential construction contracts after the date of signing.
